Ah, the problem was resolved by purging the calendar cache. I should have tried that in the first place!

Can you see it as a possibility to include the start time in a single day event maybe with a shortcode switch in some future release?

In my case, it would make the customized styling cleaner with equal height for each event (plus you could see the event start time from the same location for each event which is more user friendly, I think).
