I cleared the cache with my wp supercache plugin then went to a new private window in firefox and a new incognito window in chrome and the file still loaded in both and was downloadable in chrome.
Ok I will try that now. Regarding the date of Tue, 02 Dec 2025 22:38:13 GMT, that is the date I originally uploaded file. However I installed the plugin and protected the files just yesterday, if that info helps. I will try the caches now and report back. Thank you.
In file manager the permissions inside the _pda folder are 0644 for the mp3 files and 0755 for the subfolders
