    Thank you.

If I make a page or post with Elementor, should it not show in my Posts or Pages list? Does it only exist within Elementor?

If I make a page without Elementor, how do I keep it within the WooCommerce and Funnel workflow? I mean, specifically making the button to buy it. If I paste in the URL as you suggest will the plugin place the button there?

    Thank you so much, @linux4me2

Adding a blank text widget did remove the unwanted bits but left a white block. I recoloured that so it was OK but in the end went with your ‘display:none’ as a simpler solution.

The CSS for removing the Add to Cart worked perfectly, thanks – beyond my atrophied CSS skills!

    Very grateful for your help.

Thank you @lorro. I’d looked everywhere in WooCommerce but didn’t think to look outside it. Much appreciation for the quick reply.

I should have mentioned I can’t get into my site via the normal logon as I can’t get an authenticator code, but I can go in via wordpress.com and disable the plugin (or remove it if necessary)

    Hi.
Since I wrote that I’m convinced that the problem was in the way I’d set up Analytics itself, not my site, WordPress, or Sucuri. I was clutching at straws asking this because I couldn’t find a reason. After I’d written it, I disabled Sucuri to see if I was getting any Real Time data on Analytics. I wasn’t. So I don’t think it’s Sucuri.

I noticed that in Analytics the new site seemed to be set up as a subset of one of my other sites. I don’t know why. It showed a few hits from the day I set it up (early Jan) and nothing since then. I deleted that Analytics property and set it up at the top level as a new domain and got a new tracking number. Immediately Real Time was registering hits and looking again today it’s tracking perfectly well.

So this is resolved and Sucuri’s not to blame. Thanks for replying so quickly.

    Update:
I’ve resolved the problem, although I don’t know how it works.
I reinstalled WordPress, the current version, from FTP, but it made no difference.

Searching other reports of the same problem in the forum, there was a lot of stuff I didn’t understand, but finally found a suggestion that worked: adding this line to the end of wp-config.php

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’,false);

The post that contained it said you could remove the line after a couple of weeks, which I don’t get at all, but happy that the problem is fixed and I hope this helps anyone else with the problem.

Update – I’ve deactivated all plugins and it’s made no difference. The problem is the same in Chrome and Firefox. Cleared cache so it’s not that.

Looking at the posts the text is all there, but white (so only visible when highlighted), graphics don’t show in the visual editor, and there is what looks like a two line space at the top of each post before the content begins. That’s the space I was trying unsuccessfully to click in. I can place the cursor below this, in the text area.

Not sure what to do now.

I’ve tried uninstalling the theme. I installed a new theme but the problem in the editor was the same. I’ve gone back to my normal theme.

How easy is it to go back to 4.3? Can I do it directly from WordPress without FTP? If I use FTP is it just a matter of uploading certain folders or do I have to edit wp-config.php or my database?

    (@nlamont)

Well thanks for your input and support on this. It seems to be OK now – I’ll be keeping an eye on it of course – so I’ll mark it as resolved.

Should have mentioned, in case it’s useful to someone else with the same problem, I deactivated all plugins, then deleted them (all from within WordPress), then went into FTP and removed the folders (one had left a folder with some files).

Then I did the same for all unused Themes. This was all advice in http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-find-a-backdoor-in-a-hacked-wordpress-site-and-fix-it/.

    Hi
I decided to reinstall only a small number of plugins. My site used to be much bigger and I used a lot of plugins that I don’t need now. So all the ones I need are back, and I’ve also installed two step authentication.

Can you let me know if it looks OK to you now? Also I’m curious to know if you’re in the US or UK. I still find it odd that some people saw the blue box and some didn’t.

Thanks very much for your help.

I’ve deleted ALL plugins and the problem seems to be gone, on every device I’ve tried it on.

So it must have been something in one of the plugins. Going to reinstall them one by one now.

I’m just about to remove all my plugins so the site may look a bit odd.

If you don’t mind, could you refresh and see if it’s fixed. Having changed my router, I don’t see the blue box now.

It seems consistent with what I’ve read about DNSchanger injecting a div into sites in the browser. Is it possible that others, such as yourself, who see the blue box are also affected by DNSchanger?

But I’ve just seen an article on WPBeginner.com about Backdoor called How to Find a Backdoor in an hacked WordPress site (sorry it’s on another machine nad I don’t have the URL) that suggests looking at unused themes etc.

The backup I restored was from a day when I know the site looked OK, and it restored both the WordPress files and the database. It made no difference.

    Hi. Back again.

Here’s what I’ve discovered in the mean time. When I change my router the site is normal. There doesn’t seem to be any code in the pages of the site or in the WordPress files, but I’ve just put a different router on, and the site is fine.

That doesn’t explain how you saw some damage on my site. Can you please confirm what you saw? What I get is a large div with a blue background on most of the pages of my site. Now, with the other router on, the whole site is black and white as it’s supposed to be. Can you tell me specifically what you see at my site?

    Thanks.
