You can select the option to display the author box above or below the content.
There is also a shortcode which should work in the sidebar to display the guest author.
The plugin also has been tested with several author box plugins. Unfortunately it is not 100% compatible with Meks.
Look for the Author box tab in the Guest Author Name settings!

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Plans for Guest Author Widget?Hello,
We now have an author widget in our premium plugin which I believe may have already been purchased for your site. I suggest that you update it and see if the updated plugin resolves your issues!
If not, and if our author box doesn’t work, you may want to try another plugin besides Meks and see if that works. Meks has always been problematic.
Let me know.

Hi,
There were two versions of filebird installed on this system, neither of which was the current version. I have no idea where they got them from. This is a bit concerning to me, especially since this is the kind of error that would come from older plugins. I have copies of them in a backup if you want me to email them to you.
I deleted both of them and installed the current version from the repository and the issue is resolved.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] How to rollback to previous version? My sincere apologies for the warning message. Last night, another developer pointed out the issue to me.
I manage a lot of websites and because developers like me sometimes make mistakes, you might want turn off WP_DEBUG on your display and have it go to the debug log instead. Some plugins put out a lot of warning messages like this one, which didn’t have any effect on the plugin functionality but warning messages can break ajax functionality.
Always have ftp access to your site and always make backups before you update so that you can roll back if you have to. After you update, load the site and check the debug log using FTP or file manager access!
I use Updraft Plus on all of my websites. It’s always that one time that I didn’t run a backup that I get a plugin with an error that breaks a website. It took me two hours to recover a site yesterday.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Child theme stopped workingI created another child theme which worked fine. I then exported the settings from the first child theme into the second child theme and it broke with the same elementor errors. I have reported this as a premium user.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Possible to Add Ajax Considerations?I don’t see why not! I will look into that in the next release. If it’s not too complicated, otherwise consider the premium plugin.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] v3.95 generates error when trying to loginThat’s not good! I tested this on multi-site yesterday but only by activating on one site, not activating on the entire site. I will release another update asap.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Pagination not workingHello,
You are using the premium version of the plugin? Let me know which version you are on. Try using a different slug than ‘author’. That may cause some confusion with WordPress since this is the slug that they use for authors.
Since this forum is for the free version, you might want to email me at [email protected]
