In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Edit not savingIt should help. The code just adds target=”_blank” to your url. It needs to be custom targeted to your theme. If you want, you can email a link to one of your guest author posts and I will send you the code. [email protected]. Only one w!

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Edit not savingHi, there is no way to add the target attribute, or any attribute via wordpress filters, but it can be done using JavaScript. Let me know if you need guidance for that and I can write it up for you. A couple of users have been able to get it working.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Edit not savingThank you for the extra information. The same code is used when a post is saved regardless of how it’s saved, so an error log would help a lot, particularly if other plugins are involved. It sounds more likely that it’s an issue with Gutenberg.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Edit not savingYea it is still being maintained.
First, can you please enable error logging, attempt to save the post and send the error log to me? This should give me a starting point in determining what is causing the error.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Blank pageThank you for giving me my first one star rating without giving me an opportunity to help you to resolve your issue. I also suggest that you uninstall the plugin and see if the problem persists. If so, send me the information about the bug, as we do try to fix these immediately.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Blank pageA white screen indicates an error. You need to turn on error logging to determine what the issue is and if it is this plugin, let me know so that I can fix the error.
@petermichaelseiler you must be responding to the wrong post. First, that’s not my site and second, it’s a fatal error so the same error is going to show up no matter which page I visit. That is the only visible issue that anybody is going to see.
@bornforphp I see that you are having similar issues with a lot of installations. I switched to another plugin for now.
Hello,
You would have to customize the theme to change where the author name appears on your posts. This plugin does not manage that. You could also use a page builder for this.
You can try to email me at [email protected]. That old email address is supposed to forward but I guess that it isn’t working.
I need to know what your settings are on the first panel, which theme you are using, and if you are trying to write your own query or using a page builder and which page builder you are using.
Wouter, thanks for reporting the javascript bug and the difficulty getting a response via the support page.
The free plugin does not give you the option to access guest authors by the author but you can probably create a custom query by email address. It’s a bit complicated. The premium plugin should allow you to query by author.

In reply to: [(Simply) Guest Author Name] Guest Author name not displayed in Author ColumnHello,
The guest author will not display in the author column but you can use the settings to display the guest author in it’s own column.
The guest author settings can be found under the settings option in the admin menu. Check the box that says “Enable Quick Edit for Guest Author Name
Display Guest Author in Author Column in Post list/admin”Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [OceanWP] Child Theme CSS issuesUnfortunately, this did not work for me.
Child theme stylesheets were loading fine before. This is standard WordPress theming. It should work.
