I had been thinking that I ought to be able to do this directly from the Editor but apparently not. I have done similar css for php templates in earlier WP versions so I’ll have to brush up on those skills.

Thanks George, that’s just great. I don’t know how many times I looked at that screen. The Custom Template option wasn’t showing – it was off the screen. Wasted time for a silly mistake but I’m on the way now – thanks again
Hi – I’m quite new to WordPress. I’ve found a workaround, it may not be the best way.
If you use a Paragraph Block and then insert an inline image it works. You click on the image and the link icon appears at the top of the block.
