In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Conflict with WPML@sasiddiqui yes i tried creating new permalinks. i also flushed the WPML caches and did some of the plugins cleanup steps.
what version of WPML were you using? we are currently on 3.9.4 (not ready to upgrade to 4.0 quite yet – still doing testing on that)

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Conflict with WPML@sasiddiqui – thanks for getting back to me.
I just updated locally and the issue does not appear to be resolved. Is it possible that this fix would only be applied to newly created custom permalinks?
Thanks!

thanks!

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Conflict with WPMLHi @sasiddiqui.
Thanks for getting back to me.
I am unable to give you access to our site, but I’d be happy to test out any plugin updates and let you know if that fixes our issue! Feel free to send me a link to download a patch.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Custom Permalinks + Wpml Plugin@sasiddiqui – was there ever a resolution to this? we have a different problem, but i thought that perhaps a fix to this might fix our issues as well.

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Conflict with PublishPress@sasiddiqui – i also reached out to publish press and they have resolved the issue on their end in an upcoming release. thanks!
@andergmartins THANK YOU. This seems to have resolved the issue. Is this beta version stable enough to use on a production site?

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Custom Permalinks + Wpml PluginMy apologies!! The plugin I was using is “custom post type permalinks”. I will now try your plugin instead, because the other one doesn’t work 🙂

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Custom Permalinks + Wpml PluginWe have a situation where we need a custom post type with a custom taxonomy to have a different slug to preserve existing urls from the old site and the preference is not just to do a 301 redirect.
The custom post type post permalink would be
mysite.com/post-type/post-slugBut 10 posts in that custom post type with the custom taxonomy of “resources” need to have the url:
mysite.com/resources/post-slug
mysite.com/fr/resources/post-slug (for French translation)This url – mysite.com/fr/resources/post-slug – loads with a 500 error about 50% of the time.
We are trying to avoid having another custom post type, because it’s just a few posts.

In reply to: [Custom Permalinks] Custom Permalinks + Wpml PluginHi – I have the latest WPML and latest Custom Permalinks installed, but on posts that I have created a translation with a custom permalink, I’m getting a 500 error on every other refresh.
Anyone else experiencing a state of half working?
@angelo – thanks.
sorry, i should have been more clear. i am using a custom template, not a shortcode.
so i need an actual attribute
thanks @angelo.
do you have a code example? i’m primarily a front end dev and not a plugin developer/
thanks!
