In reply to: [OceanWP] After update footer and blog grids brokeThanks @bheching for this!
I had the same problem:
I had set the values at 2 for desktop and tablet and 1 for mobile ( @shahin nothing was left blank)
Since the update desktop suddenly showed 3 columns.
the solution from @bheching also worked for me:
I first deleted the correct setting and then entered it again. And it looked again as expected!!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OceanWP] unexpected change in new featured imagesUPDATE:
For some reason the image was correct on the English version of the page, and cutout on the Dutch version of the page. I saw a difference between the shortcodes on both pages, and copying the english version helped fix it.
So: the issue was not OceanWP, but something in the plugin!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [OceanWP] unexpected change in new featured imagesHi,
Thanks for your reply.
“The behavior youβre seeing happens because WordPress (or the theme/plugin in use) generates different image sizes and sometimes switches to a cropped version by default.”
Yes I was thinking that the change was something in an update from OceanWP, therefore I am asking this in the theme support forum. Are you from OceanWP? If so, can you tell me if this is theme related?
It could also be related to the Page-list plugin, so I will also ask there!
“You should also check your Media Settings under Settings > Media to ensure that no square size is defined, and that forced cropping isnβt enabled there.”
Of course this was the first place I checked, and there is no 500×500 thumbnail value, therefore I assumed it was theme-based and not Worddpress based. Forced cropping was enabled, but turning that off does not change anything.
I will check out the plugins you mentioned, thanks

In reply to: [My Tickets - Accessible Event Ticketing] Tickets with repeating eventsAh, okay I was afraid of that. So I guess the work around of making individual events is the way to go then… Pity.

In reply to: [My Tickets - Accessible Event Ticketing] custom text on checkout buttonSorry to say I can’t remeber everything I tried but I know one thing: I synched a loco translate file.
BUT I cannot find the ‘ga naar winkelmand’ (Go to cart) anywhere in the language file of the ticket plugin.
I think I might have also changed one of the ticket plugin settings so probably that was it. Still strange I cannot find the string Ga naar winkelmand anywhere! So I don’t no where it gets it from.
Do you have any clue? I also checked the language files of my theme, WordPress and several other plugins. But no luck so far.- This reply was modified 9 months, 3 weeks ago by omniafausta.

In reply to: [My Tickets - Accessible Event Ticketing] custom text on checkout buttonUpdate: while doing something with Loco translate I still didn’t get the preferred text, but at least it has now changed to something better (ga naar winkelmand)
I am still not totally sure how and what happened though, so any insights would be welcome
Thanks!update: fixed!
THis has something to do with how WordPress is placed in an extra folder. There needed to be an htaccess in 2 places and was just in one of them.the file has 644 as permissions set
this is the error message (in Dutch):
Er is een functie ingeschakeld die een .htaccess bestand vereist, maar het bestand bestaat niet. Voeg de volgende regels toe aan je .htaccess, verander het naar schrijfbaar:- This reply was modified 10 months, 1 week ago by omniafausta.
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me and trying to find a workaround.
Unfortunately that is not what I am looking for. It is for things like this:
https://digiwijs30.nl/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Digikrant_kop.png
I could do the entire thing as an image, but then you can’t edit the text (fot instance in this case adding the date in the same line)
I think I will have to change the design to a way that will work with text below the icons.
Then there is still the tendencie of the client to want to use all sort of icons before lists items, like an phone-icon before the telephone number, a pin before the location etc etc
I really hate the unicode icons they are using and would love to offer our own set. But I guess that won’t be possible then. The length of these list differ from 1 to 4, or maybe even 6 items, so your workaround would become a bit ‘heavy’- This reply was modified 10 months, 4 weeks ago by omniafausta.

addition:
i see I can copy paste some icons from content that was sent to me like π’
and unicode icons etc, but I really want to use custom made icons.
and if custom icons is not possible: is it possible to use font-awesome (and if so: how)- This reply was modified 10 months, 4 weeks ago by omniafausta.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I understand how ther can be differences between your count and analitical tools. But where you see over 2K visitors (according to my mail) in january, the statistics say under 100 visitors. This is a VERY big difference that I cannot explain, can you?@rizaardiyanto
since I have a similar problem* I was wondering: Do you have any idea when this will be tackled? When can we expect a release that will fix this? Thanks!!
* specific: not able to put text in the tabs on bold or italic or use a break, because code then shows up on the phoneForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] user permissionsHi,
Thanks for your reply. To answer your question: I am using the cloud version.
Just realized I might have to change things in The hub then and not at WordPress.
I’ll see if I can make it work that way, thanks.Forum: Plugins
