In reply to: [Nicescrollr] Changelog for ver. 0.5.7Hi there
It seems that change logs are missing on all plugin pages as of now.
If you have access to your website via ftp, you can read the change log in the readme file which you find in the “nicescrollr” plugin root directory on your server.Regards,
Demis

In reply to: [Nicescrollr] How to get this to work with other scrollbars on the page?Hello efishinsea
After rethinking it, I have no good news for you. The feature you’d like to see would simply blow the whole architecture of this plugin, since it was and is purely intended to replace the scrollbar and its behaviour for the body element, giving you full control over all native options Nicescroll has to offer.
So if you need to add a custom scrollbar to an iframe or any other element that’s not the body, I’m afraid this can’t be done with this plugin. You’d likely have to use a library like you already mentioned.I am sorry I have no better news for you.

In reply to: [cbParallax] Disable parallax on mobileHello patrickkkk
I apologize for getting back to you this late.
Altough the effect works very well on recent mobile devices, your suggestion makes sense, and I appreciate it. I will implement this option within the next release, so on mobile devices the image will become a static background.
Allow me a coulpe of days since I am quite busy. Thanks for using this plugin! I hope you enjoy it using as much as I did writing it 🙂

In reply to: [Nicescrollr] Plugin only working on dashboard and not on page…Hello SCR_17
It looks like “Avada” uses its own version of the Nicescroll library.
Unless you find an option to disable Avada’s integrated “nicescroll” functionality, this plugin will not be compatible with that theme, at least not its frontend functionality.
This would be the reason why this plugin works on the backend but (obviously) not on the frontend.I don’t own this theme, but there might be a chance that you can disable “nicescroll” in the theme settings.

In reply to: [Nicescrollr] How to get this to work with other scrollbars on the page?Hi there
Thanks for your question. There is no such feature yet, but it seems reasonable to implement such a functionality. It will be available with the next version somewhat around new year, since this is a busy month.

In reply to: [Nicescrollr] fatal errorHello okso
You get this message, if you run your website on a PHP version below PHP 5.4.
This software is written for PHP versions from 5.4 on upwards. I have no plans to support older versions of PHP.I am sorry for your inconvenience. I will add this to the plugin’s description.
So despite this error message, you may consider upgrading the PHP version your site runs on anyway, if that’s compatible with your project/website.

In reply to: [cbParallax] Fatal error on installHello pilardavis
I wrapped my head around it and:
1. There is an issue with the theme you are using in combination with this plugin and Firefox. However it does work in all other mayor browsers in combination with that theme. I’m on it.
2. In order to see the background image, you need to set your theme’s layout to “boxed”, and / or add a transparency to the container that holds your page content, as mentioned in the “Plugin Requirements”.
You can test this like so:
Boxed Layout:
Set a boxed layout in your theme. Navigate to “Theme Settings > Layout”, and set “Layout Bound” to “boxed”. You should see the image behind your boxed content (except on Firefox).Transparency (works with boxed and fullwidth layouts):
To add a transparency to the container, add this to your custom css:#main {
background: rgba(252, 252, 252, 0.8);
}The image should now shine trough the content container.
So depending on what you want to achieve, you can use this plugin on a boxed layout: This is great if you e.g. have a shop – you can then set the product image as parallaxing background image to get more attention.
Or you can use it to “theme” certain pages.Adding a transparency to the main container may motivate you to make some changes in your site’s design, since this could change the way you would want your content to be presented.
PS: For a quick look at this plugin’s functionality – even in Firefox, activate the “twentyfifteen” theme and visit the page you use this plugin on.
So in conclusion, there remains the issue with this plugin in combination with the Vantage theme and Firefox.
As soon as I’ve found a workaround, I’ll implement it in a plugin update (not yet in version 0.2.4).Have a nice weekend!

In reply to: [cbParallax] Fatal error on installHi there!
Yes, that note is for you.
So I suppose you’re using this Vantage Theme?
If so, please confirm, since there are other themes from other developers that are named the same.
I’ll then have a look at it 🙂
