The plugin was not authenticating when I tried to renew the Facebook access token, it was returning the error message, saying that the app/plugin was in development mode and was rejected. I have updated expired tokens many times in the past, but this time I could not, FB was rejecting the plugin/app. I have been hesitant to upgrade because upgrades of this plugin have broken my site twice in the past but I updated the plugin to the latest version, which got rid of the error. Now, however, I have lost all my styles and will be figuring out how to get them correct once again. Other than that, my original problem is resolved. Thank you.
