…even though it shows the featured image module in the page editor, does not support featured images on pages. In a perfect world, that module would not show on the page editor for Intergalactic.

Thanks also for the detailed instructions on how to edit my child theme. I’m new to WP, so this may be a dumb question, but… that seems really complicated. Are there some resources that would be helpful in terms of learning how to edit the code in child themes?
I am not on wp.com; I am running the Intergalactic theme on my own install.

Just from looking at the options available on the user interface, it seems pretty clear that the Intergalactic page template was written to include the capability for users to specify featured images.
No, I’m not on wordpress.com. I asked my question there yesterday, but since I have a WP install on my own server, they told me that my question should actually be posted here.
