Excuse me? Your answer is downright disgusting. Blaming it on me. It has been on there for many years. i downloaded nothing recently. Tell me where to download it then other than here? The nerve to smear my name like this. Its has an identical name, its not obvious for anyone that its fake when it been there for many years. I downloaded years ago from the wordpress library and its very normal i dont remember the situation back then. But i never download anything from anything other than the wordpress library. So shame on you for putting this on me. It shows exactly how you are trying to do damage control and you have no problem throwing me under the bus for that by changing the narrative in your favor. Making me out to be unresponsible . Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Be better!

I already fixed it myself, as you are lacking in that department. Other plugins regarding “related products” had the same issue of having general related products after a woocommerce update, the difference though they actually aknowledged there was a problem to solve. You also should have communicated that there are actually two versions of your plugin. A 1.2.3 version (which I believe now is not maintained) and the newer version of 3.2.1. You can actually have these two plugins at the same time on your website, which is weird, cause they both point to this plugin page, where I couldnt find a mention of this. if you delete the 1.2.3 version you cant get it back proving this. So it was probably abondanded. This was not communicated and therefore as a user you dont know its not maintained anymore. There was no way of migration (import/export) in your older version towards your newer version. I actually made the migration possible myself with SQL. Something your team could have done too for its users when you moved on to a newer version. Can you imagine users having thousands of related products and they dont even know why it doesnt work anymore. You might not like this message, but I feel its justified to give this feedback, at least for others who struggle.

I get what you are saying, but how is that related to my answers? You ask us to send us more information to test it out and after no info from your side. You dont agree you could have informed us sooner with the above?

You dont have to do anything, but I still think its common courtesy to at least keep people in the loop on where you stand and what your policy is. Communication is key. If you would have told me sooner I could have looked for an alternative. I wouldnt have mind to pay for an extra service. You could think about that option if that fixes some of your challenges. Paid or unpaid, I just need to fix this for my client.

I get your challenges now. But please realize that in my cause I also get questions and pressures and I cant keep telling my client “I am still waiting for an answer”. I asked you for an update on the situation several times these last weeks, I have gotten none and I dont think that is an unreasonable request. The above reasons I understand, but I needed that information to come to that conclusion.

    Hello @janilyn409,

I will have to take your word on the part where you said you replied to all messages. And that you are overwhelmed at the moment, from having capacity problems, that can explain the problem from your perspective. But we have been waiting for an answer for over a month. And you should have given the above answer straight away if you already know you cant keep up and solve the issue, cause we cant magically know that.

I send you the results of my testing and I havent found any external conflicts. So how is that possible? I feel you have been stalling, and we have live websites, with actual dependencies. If you cant provide a reliable service, its better to discontinue it. We could have been done already by migrating to an alternative that does work. Part of getting better is listening to feedback. I am sorry I am having to be a critic here, but I would have liked this answer sooner.

This is not right @janilyn409 . Asked for information and just ignoring all messages on the same topic. I never experienced it like this.

Helllo, there are 3 persons waiting for an update from your side. Its been another 2 weeks, can you please inform us on what you did to solve this problem or at least give us some information? Thank you.

Hello, I would like to ask you if you had a chance to look at this problem yet?

    (@optimalprime)

Ok thank you and understood, but to be fair you havent asked me for information to give you and you havent given us this information above earlier also, which i could have acted on sooner. You only asked for pictures of the backend and a link of the frontend, which another user gave you aswell, so I thought that to be redundant for fixing the problem as he was first in queue. Cause that part of the information just confirms that what is custom filled in the backend is not portraiting in the frontend. But that is already established. I am happy to help and provide information needed (some needs to be in non public ways). I have a test site where your plugin was still working correctly, but that wasnt updated to the latest versions of woocommerce and wordpress. the wordpress version there is 6.7.4. The Woocommerce version there is 9.5.1. I just upgraded all the other plugins to their latest versions aswell as the theme and after it was still correct on the testsite. Then after this i upgraded woocommerce to the latest version which is 10.2.2 and then the related products dont work correctly anymore. So we can rule out the wordpress version, theme and plugins. I then rolled back woocommerce plugin to the version 9.5.1. And then it doesnt change it back weirdly enough. So not sure what is happening, if its the database or something but it wouldnt respect the custom settings after. I also deleted the custom settings within a product. Saved it and then entered them again, and saved again. Checked the frontend. It refuses to do the changes. I changed the theme to the native one of wordpress, no change. I took away the function.php coding, no change. I inspected the product page frontend, no errors. I also turned off all other plugins except yours and the woocommerce one. Still no change. So the conflict comes after updating the woocommerce plugin. Have you tested it with an older version, then set some custom values and then update the woocommerce plugin, cause that is when it happens. I also tried to empty cache from within woocommerce and update woocommerce database, but also no change.

So in conclusion we do see generalized related products from the same category but not the custom set ones that are filled in the backend on your end?

Please let me know what you need. I will work towards a solution with you.

Hello Bruno, were you able to figure out the problem yet?

I dont want to be impatient and rude, but I dont understand why you havent looked into the problem for a couple of weeks now already, this is a serious problem for us. Is your plugin still actively maintained? Please, just some feedback on what you looked into on your side of things. I have to do a lot of work if i have to migrate to another plugin, but I have to if this doesnt get fixed. I just need some help here and I think the other users with the similar problem would appreciate it too.

Its a general problem as multiple users are saying the same. I can only send Imagesthrough a link, For that i have to upload it somewhere, while it doesnt actually help the problem. The problem 100% exists. Did you test this as soon as possible, cause we cant fix this ourselves and it a lot of work to make a change towards a new plugin.

The website has holders and fuses. When i look at any random Holder in the backoffice it shows all the fuses that were linked to it as related products. Yet on the frontend it shows other holders. It is the same for all the products, what is in the backoffice isnt the same as what is showing up on the frontend. Can you please test your plugin with woocommerce and wordpress?

Has this been resolved somehow? Cause I am having the exact same problem. It stopped working and I emptied the cache. updated the database, incognito, but it doesnt resolve it.

Thank you for your answer. This works automatically also for the “none pro” version? And is there a way to process this towards google (quicker) as I dont see anything happening yet.
