I ran the repair table command on both databases, all tables selected, and the result was just OK for everything.

I see that the plug-in Social Media Feather had an update available, I wonder if this related to the errors I posted above which seem to be about posts and comments…

“Error establishing a database connection”

Then I tried to go to /wp-admin, it gave me instructions to modify the config file. So I did that, ran the repair as instructed and it resulted in the messages above.

Then the site worked for a bit. Then got the same error again later, I repeated the process, and site worked again.

I logged into cpanel and ran checks and repairs on both databases for the installation.
