excellent, thanks! Now let’s see if I can fix it using these instructions!

    Thanks!

I looked at the theme option panel but it does not seem I can change it here. I then indeed tried removing all code between <p> </p> tags but then the entire footer disappears. So I quickly restored it. However, I guess that means the “|”is indeed somewhere in the below code as that was the only bit still between the <p> </p> tags and all text disappeared when I removed the code below, including the “|”. Still I do not see it in the code….

    <?php fbiz_show_copyright_text(); ?> <a>" title="<?php esc_attr_e( 'fbiz Theme', 'fbiz' ); ?>">

I am familiar with basic HTML and hyperlinks. But there is no need to place a link here. I just want it to say ‘2015 © OK Text & Translation’

Anyway, if you would have have another look at the code that would be great!! No hurry at all. I take it you’re based in the US since you mentioned early afternoon? Nice! Here it’s around 9 pm, so I won’t do a lot anyway the next couple of hours 😉

    Thanks again,
    Otto

    Maria,

Thank you so much! Also for the tip about how to make child theme. I checked some tutorials indeed and installed the Orbisius plugin. It makes sense to have a child theme as by now I have made quite some changes already. Not only by using the custom CSS editor but also using php to get rid of some sidebars. I am now working from a child theme!!!!

I also followed your instructions and deleted the code you suggested. There is one final thing I have not yet been able to solve. I managed to remove ‘fBiz Theme powered by WordPress’ following your instructions but the “|” still remains and I thought this would be deleted too. It now says “2015 © OK Text & Translation |”. I figured the “|” was also in the code, perhaps located above the part I removed, but I cannot seem to find it. I wil double-check but could this be somewhere else in the code? If it is unclear what I mean, please would you be so kind to have another look at my site (http://oktext.nl/wp/)

Thanks once again. I really could not have done all this without you. Wish I could return the favour somehow.

    Kind regards,
    Otto

    Hi Maria,

You are right. My theme indeed allows me to change the text on the theme options page. However, I already changed it. I entered ‘ 2015 © OK Text & Translation’ in the ‘copyright text field’ under ‘appearance -> theme options’.

But the ‘ | fBiz Theme powered by WordPress’ is also automatically added in the footer text. It appears on the actual site while it does not show up under ‘theme options’.
I guess somewhere in the code this particular line will be added automatically to whatever other text I enter in the copyright text field…

    Hi Maria,

I did not even realise you were able to see what my user ID was anyway. But thanks for the tip….I already made the change!

I’d like to take the opportunity to ask you one more question. Hope you don’t mind 🙂 Do you know if there is additional CSS code to hide the ‘fbiz Theme powered by WordPress’ on the bottom of each page? I do not mind giving credit to the developer somewhere else on my site, but preferably not here…

    Again, thank you very much!

Forgot to post URL to website: http://oktext.nl/wp/

So basically the goal is to have second a version of each page in another language. I therefore want a second menu with the ‘home’, ‘over ons’, ‘diensten’ menu options in another language.

    Maria,

I have another question I am hoping you can help me with. On my website, it also still shows ‘admin’ on the bottom of each page. I have removed the blog function from my website, but this bit still remains. Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Maria,

Thanks for your prompt response! I installed the plugin as my CSS does not seem to support hiding the heading. I am not expert, so just to be sure, if I open the editor for the plugin, I just copy/paste the code here? At the bottom?

    Thanks again,
    Otto

    OK Maria, thanks.

    Please check http://oktext.nl/wp/index.php/contact/

(it it still work in progress as you can see) which is the Contact page. I Just want to remove the word ‘Contact” (which is the page title) here. Indeed I can make the title look better, but I was just wondering if I can get rid of it all together…

    Cheers,
    Otto

Thanks Thisonator! I was also looking for a solution to this problem as well. It took me a while to follow your instructions, but it worked. Thanks!

I have another question as well. When you click on a page, the page name remains highlighted on the top right hand side. I like that feature. But because it remains highlighted, there is no need to also display the page title on the screen in my view. Is there a way to to do this? I tried the ‘disable title’ plugin but that does not seem to work. Can you please help. Thanks again,

    Otto
