I use it with WordPress 5.1.1 and the original and a custom theme and it works here for me.

For me that works as described in the FAQ. Do you realy have done all steps from FAQ to save a backup image from all water marked pics? I have try this certain times and for me (WordPress 5.1.1) it works as it should.
