Hi Arnoud,
Please send the login details to p2ablo at gmail.com
Have you checked the php version which you are using for this site?
I suppose you have the latest updates now of WordPress and NextGen, It’s not a compatibility issue with other pugins or themes. It seems like something related specifically to your computer/server set up. What comes to my mind is to check if the same will happen if you log in to your WordPress site from a diffrent browser and even a diffrent computer. Â Try clearing the browser cache and cookies, or disabling browser extensions.
Probably very unlikly that on your server for this site your are not using PHP 7.2 or higher. Maybe check it just in case and let me know what version are you using.
Thank you for testing this. These warnings very likly are not creating this problem and are not problematic. If not with a theme there could be a conflict with another plugin. Please could you try deactivating other plugins one by one or in groups to see if at some point there will be no delay?
Of course NextGen and Geo2 Maps must be active.
I noticed that on the graph there is NextGen and NextGen Pro. Should these two be active at the same time? I would think that this could create some conflict unless the Pro version also works as an extension to the basic version.
As far as I know shortcode on the post edit page is only a simple text. It’s only executed when a page is loaded so basically I have no explanation why placing it could create a delay. Eh.
Hi Arnoud,
I understand better now but still it’s wierd. You should see the shorcode only. It’s not executed so the page should not try to load anything.
I have some additiona questions.
Does it happen when there is no shortcode inserted at all? (On posts with no maps at all)
Does it happen when pages as well?
Can you please change the Theam to one of the standard like Twenty Eleven to see if the issue persist?
I see the Query Monitor (this is a free plugin for WordPress) is not showing its toolbar ith ethe Post Editing mode. It will not be useful.
You can still open the browser consol with F12 (also in Edge) to check for any page errors. You may need to switch to the console tab at the top of a new window which will open when you hit F12.
Hi Arnoud,
It’s called Azure Maps API. “atlas” is like an internal name.
Anyway, there could be a clue in the browser console notifications or in the Query Monitor.
Maybe also do a test without disabling the Geo2 Maps plugin but by removing temporarly the Azure Maps key. Then any post which tries to connect to the Azure service will not work and if this is caused by this, no delay should occur.
I also wonder if you are using any Geocoding?
Hi,
Hmm, on the Azure Maps, you can check if there are any outstanding invoices. Once somehow, I got charged £2.57 and I was not able to figure out what for. I find this side really difficult to understand.
About debugging. Please check if there are any warnings or errors in the browser console. F12
I’m also using a Query Monitor. It’s on this graph above. It can show some additional warnings or more details.
Hi Arnold, I wonder when this issue started occurring. Was it after this mayor update to Azure Maps? Or maybe after thsi update all was fine for some time and this happened after a WordPress update?
I remember another user once said that this plugin works very quickly with lots of images, but this was before the update to Azure. Azure is now a paid service after a certain amount of usage. Maybe you exceeded this free limit and they blocked or slowed down your access to this service?

In reply to: [Geo2 Maps Add-on for NextGEN Gallery] Problem with map ajaxHi, I may improve this validation, but it would be good to check if your URL doesn’t contain anything unusual. Would you mind sharing it? You can change words to something else for security but please leave unchanged any other characters and the domain ( i.e. .co.uk, .xyz)
I’m glad. at least one happy user 😉

In reply to: [Geo2 Maps Add-on for NextGEN Gallery] No track visible when using geo2Hi Manfred,
Happy New Year to you too.
Please send it to [email protected].
I’m using LocalWP in development and some files do not open but they open on my test site without any problems. There could be many potential issues. If I will have your file and it opens on my test website at least we will know this is something with the server setup.
Btw. There is no point in using “route=1” in the shortcode. It’s my overlooking and I removed this shortcode from the latest version. This option needs to be enabled in the geo2 maps setting. (It’s done this well because scripts load before shortcode updates settings for a map and I made it this way to prevent loading it if not necessary for some users who do not need it.

In reply to: [Geo2 Maps Add-on for NextGEN Gallery] No track visible when using geo2Hi @manwecke,
I hope the new version will resolve this issue. The previous one did not show all images inside gpx or other files. I still had some warnings but paths were appearing with images.
You will need an Azure account, a new API Key and you will need any external path to the CORS section in the Azure account. I hope this will resolve this issue.

If not I may need to check it by myself and see where is the problem.
Regarding the shortcode. geocoding_provider=openstreetmaps is unnecessary if you do not place albums or galleries on the Worldmap. Geocoding doesn’t work with individual photos. When I took over this plugin I though that this is not really to useful future anyway.
Btw. This plugin only works now with Azure Maps provider.
Of course if naything is wrong please let me know asap.
Dear All Users,
Just before the New Year I finished migrating from Bing Maps to Azure Maps. It was a lot of work. 2 months of work after hours of my typical job.
Please check the Changelog to see detail.
Important!
You will need a new API Key from the azure account. I added short description in the installation section but you can find more information here:

Happy New Year!
Dear All,
I started working on an update but it’s quite a lot of work unfortunately, so please be patient.
Hi Arnoud,
Thank you for bringing my attention to this. I will try to update the code. Fortunately, there is still some time to do it.
Best regards
