If I replace the existing wp-content/plugins/jetpack folder on my site with the newly downloaded one, do I lose all previous stats and settings of the Jetpack plugin?

I just manually downloaded the Jetpack Plugin from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/
After unzipping, the changelog shows it as version 5.6 from December 2017. That’s older than the version I already had installed!
Why the older version on the download page?
