In reply to: featured image in 3.5Close the Browser and reopen it again. You should see your old post, and expand the featured image link on the right hand side, and try to ‘Set Featured Image’ to an existing image you previously uploaded.
I am also having another problem with featured image. How to make it occupy the entire width of a twenty twelve theme full width page.

In reply to: How to edit the phot gallery and link the images– Have you tried to edit them from the media manager (as opposed to clicking on the thumbnail of the gallery that is inserted on your page)?
– Are you logged on as admin (with the privilege to edit the images?)
– Have you tried an alternate Browser? (MS Internet Explorer 7 & 8 have weird problems with admin)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Where are all of my attachments in 3.5!?(and please don’t tell me to go to the “media” section.)
Yeah – that is the only way – the new media manager handles all your attachment and you can filter / search for the attachments.
If you did not use Meia manager to upload it, and used ‘FTP’ or some file manager, then you might have to use the same app you used to upload it to locate it perhaps?

In reply to: Gallery LayoutAre you talking about why your thumbnails are not proportional?
If it is the case, I use one of the Lightbox plugin that fixes it.

In reply to: How to edit the phot gallery and link the imagesAre you using the latest WP 3.5? It is a breeze with the new media manager. Just click on the gallery and press the edit button that shows up, and then you can edit the image links and other attribute in each image in the gallery.

In reply to: 3.5 RC3: Media Manager display optionsAnthony,
Thanks for the valuable suggestion. I tried that – and the result was spectacular. So thank you.I need some advise on image upload strategy and how to render them. A typical post I do might contain 200 MB of images!!
The page loads fine as the images are constrained to the theme width during the thumbnailing when I uploaded the images.
However, the Facnybox Lightbox is really struggling when you click on an image – as it needs to load an image that can be 5MB- 12MB in size.
Ideally what like to see is that:
- (1) the page loads with all the thumbnails optimally resized.
- (2) I then like to see the Lightbox open (when the humbnail is clicked) with the image width set to (say) 75% of the Browser width.
- (3) If someone clicks on the lightbox image in the middle, the image then opens as an attachment at the native uncompressed resolution outside the theme.
Is this doable?
Given I have 50 images per post, I dont want to manaually resizing the images, make multiple copies and rename them. And I certainly dont want to manually set each thumbnail in the gallery and type up which are displayed and linked to for each image.
Any suggestions?
Drag and drop – why did not see it?
