I’m afraid I can’t just change the theme of my website without losing content. I’ll try to get in touch with BeTheme support. A quick search has shown that more people had problems with the_content, but given their track record they’ll probably just tell me they don’t support AdInserter as a plugin.
Given that AdInserter does seem to recognize HTML elements (at least “p”) on my pages, is there any way I can use this to only put an ad after a single “p” element or every Xth “p” element?

I just checked and it seems like the plugin does recognize my paragraphs in posts (when I check for availaible positions for automatic insertion, they light up green).
My apologies, I seemed to have missed the before you ask for help post. I’ve enabled debugging mode now and made sure my caching plugins are not currently active.
