I am kind of figure out, by trial and error.

After check-in the CSS I saw that z-index of the map was 999:
.wpgpxmaps .wpgpxmaps_osm_footer {
position: absolute;
z-index: 999;

So, I ended up having to adjust my z-index to 999 as well.
