A small update. I have found if I update the gallery and clear the cache the gallery will display, but just once. Subsequent references to the same page produce a blank. If I repeat the process on 2 pages referencing 2 separate galleries then the first displays and the second page does not and future references to the first page again produce a blank.

I am a user of Nextgen Pro but experiencing similar problems after 4.4.1 upgrade.

Specifically slide show an fil strip roduce nothing

Mosonary and and Grid produce just a vertical strip

switching to Netgen basic produces [Not a valid template]
