OK… this works now with the configuration listed ..
Maybe it was a caching issue..

Note :
On the main MU SITE, the image path is :
http://www.XXX.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/IMAGEFILE.jpg (this works: images display right)
and on the MU SITES, image path is :
http://www.YYY.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/4/files/2011/02/IMAGEFILE.png (this does not works: images give 404)
