Hello Amimul,
Thank you for your reply.
I’m not technical and not sure about API, but my email addresses are SPF & DKIM verified on Cloudflare. Using Fluent SMTP ‘Other SMTP’ option gives better deliverability than not using it at all?Actually, my question for #1 might be “What is ‘Other SMTP’ used for?”
What are the pros and cons for setting it up with an email that was created at my website hosting provider?Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your reply.
I wondered about #1 because a Youtuber I’m following set up both “Other SMTP” and “Amazon SES” in Fluent SMTP, but from your answer, it seems like just setting up “Amazon SES” is fine? Any idea why he did both?
2. Okay, I will only verify email and delete domain verification.
3. Okay, got it.
One more question:
3. If an email recipient replies to the email I send out through Fluent SMTP, where can I see the reply?Hi, thank you for your reply.
I will email you at the address.Hi, thanks for your reply.
After I set up Cloudflare firewall, it started catching the hits and Malcare stopped receiving hits. (I disabled wp-cron.php and enabled hourly.) Also, looking at the ASNs that were hitting my sites seem to be coming from outside. In the future, I’d like to see ASN of the source of hits and blocking those in Malcare if possible.
Also, Malcare’s daily scan stopped performing (last scanned three days ago) and doesn’t even seem to be recognizing my logins as well. How can I fix this??
Thanks in advance!
Hi nlpro,
I see! Thank you so much for the information!! I appreciate it!
Hi Steven and James, I just wanted to let you know the issue was fixed. The issue seems to be because of the SiteLock CDN IP. The previous support staff uploaded the SSL through SiteLock and that’s why I was getting the error messages. The last staff I talked to disabled SiteLock and installed the SSL through cPanel. He said despite the error messages, the website was secure and SSL was installed correctly.
Now WP dashboard and SSL checkers say there’s no issue! Thank you for your help!Hi Steven, thank you for testing it out. It’s great to see it’s actually valid.
One thing I’m worried about, though, is that I get this message on an SSL checker: “You have an invalid or missing intermediate (bundle) certificate. This may not break your padlock on all browsers, but will on others. Please contact your SSL Vendor for assistance with this error.”
Here’s the whole results:
https://www.whynopadlock.com/results/39b456cb-7a80-4b4e-b922-441afea2ea87As long as it’s valid on usual browsers, maybe I shouldn’t worry too much..?
I’m thinking of doing transactions on the website.Hi James,
I’m thinking of contacting them again with the results as you recommended, but I’m just afraid that I could get the same answer from them. (I already talked to them 4 times…last time with the SSL checker’s results)Is there such a thing that multiple SSL checkers can be wrong about the results?
If the server side says there’s no problem, should I believe it disregarding the error message on WP dashboard and SSL checkers? It would be so much appreciated if I could get advice..
Hi James, thank you for your reply. I previously shared the HostGator’s support staff with this result from another SSL checker (says “invalid or missing intermediate certificate”): https://www.whynopadlock.com/results/39b456cb-7a80-4b4e-b922-441afea2ea87
And they said something like it’s a third-party SSL checker checking from the outside and they (HostGator support staff) have checked from the inside (from the server side). They said they are certain that SSL is enabled and I have nothing to worry about…
I actually have talked to multiple staff and they all say their side is fine and it’s something else..
