  • Thank you for taking a look and going the extra mile to help me through this. I added the code higher up in the Additional CSS block and it did process correctly, so we are all set here, everything is working as expected now.

It seems it didn’t like following the section where I had some google font code, but worked everywhere else. (I’m reasonably confident I did change its location yesterday to no avail, but who can really be sure)

Thanks so much for your great response and very useful plug-in!

Yes, I have that line of code in “Additional CSS”.

The page I am having trouble with is at https://stacycarlone.com/writing-prompts

A screenshot of my code is here: https://stacycarlone.com/image

I am using [quotes-llama] on a page to simply display one “Quote” at a time, with the “…(next prompt)” trigger to move to the next one. [My quote is a single line of text with no additional attributes other than the Quote input field; so no author, title, source, names, etc.

I am trying to remove the line between the quote and the next prompt, but the code, “.quotes-llama-widget-random hr {display: none;}” does not do that on my page.

Is there something I need to adjust in the code to get that to happen? I am not using this in a widget area, just the shortcode on a static WordPress Page.

    Awesome, thank you! Just submitted.

Ah, ok, got it. I did that and while I can see where some elements are impacted by me changing the font size, I still just can’t get the font on the browse button (and subsequently the text input field and filter text button) to change in size. I’m trying to use the [cooked-browse] feature to create an index page of all recipes.

Is there anything in the Pro/paid version that would help me get through this?

Thanks for the quick reply – they mentioned they use “rem” which I see you mentioned above as well, so I’m not sure where the mismatch may be.

At any rate, where do I need to hunt these down and edit? In the PLUGIN>ASSETS>CSS>Style.css file, or elsewhere?

I’m having the same issue, with just one theme from StudioPress (and of course it is the theme I like the most).

When I apply the html fix as described above, it does increase the font for the [cooked-browse] shortcode, but it also increases the font throughout the site.

How do I impact the font size for the plugin only without impacting the rest of the site?

    3/23/09 PROBLEM RESOLVED –

Apparently with the new 2.7 version of WordPress, “Presentation” and “Design” are no longer used.

For anyone stumbling upon this issue moving forward, use the word “Appearance” in the functions.php file to allow you to change colors for the Garland theme.

I have noticed one thing, not sure if this helps – if I edit functions.php and type in the colors I want, the preview in the color picker looks exactly like I want to the published content to look like. But again, these changes aren’t propagating to the presented product.

So I am now having this same exact problem. I did grab the standalone theme and uploaded it to my host. This resolved the color picker showing up issue, but I am unable to make any changes I make there ‘stick’. I have changed ‘presentation’ to ‘design’, but each time I select my colors and choose “Save Custom Colors”, the defaults revert back. I have deleted and uploaded the theme several times, thinking that I’ve jacked something up with my tweaking.

Is there any chance that I need to upload a color palette to my hosted file structure, or are these colors standard codes among the development realm? I did check and the files are NOT read-only.

I started out with this theme at http://www.pelokee.com and absolutely love it as it appears there – darker blue in the header basically. I am trying to mimic that theme at my hosted WP.org site at http://www.theappiagroup.com/ but am stuck with the lighter blue default colors that I don’t particularly care for.

Thanks in advance for any info….
