Is there a way to put in a template file on a certain page to display only results in a category? For instance, I want the home page to be my blog about web programming, and a separate page to be blogs about mac os x tips, and do not want the two categories (mac tips and web programming) to be displayed on the same blog page.

If thats the case, why can I not register for pendraggon87 over there?

If a Category is assigned only to Links, then that Category will not show–you have to manually add it during Writing a Post but then it should show from then on…

Right, but why then would the categories be displayed on the Write a Post page if my blogroll is either empty or the links set to uncategorised?

The problem is that during Writing a Post, the only categories listed are Blogroll, Uncategorised abd Web Programming. However, my actual categories definied under the Manage section:
    Blogroll
    Uncategorised
    Web Design
    Web Programming
    -CSS
    -Javascript
    –Ajavax
    -PHP

So far there is one post that is in the CSS (and therefore Web Programming) category.

There is some tie however to the blogroll link categories. If I have an uncategorized link (i only have one link in my blogroll right now) then it displays all categories in the write post section, but if the blogroll link is under web programming, the only categories available are uncategorized, blogroll, and web programming
