That’s definitely the desired behaviour, but the problem is that when I do this, I end up with a non hyper-linked title of the pdf.
This is what it looks like when I’ve uploaded a PDF. I’ve tried this on other installations of WordPress with different themes, and there it works perfectly, but on this installation/theme it keeps looking like this. I just can’t seem to get it to work. Does anyone know why there is no File URL field?

That’s definitely a possibility, but if possible, I would like to find a way to do it in the GUI. I’m creating this for a third (or fourth?) party and they’re lacking both skill and will to use FTP.
If there is an FTP plug-in to wordpress, this wouldn’t be so hard to sell to them though… I shall look into this.
