In reply to: [Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions] Plugin Deactivates on UpdateYep I get the same, just updated and after deactivation I get this message:
The plugin rvg-optimize-database/rvg-optimize-db.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.Any thoughts on this would be really great.
It’s an issue that if I can’t resolve I may have to ger rid of the breadcrumbs altogether. Thanks, P 🙂
The annoying thing is we cant reduce its Sitemap Priority, no matter what we set in SEO > Advanced it shows in the sitemap at 80%, I’d like this 0.1.
Already tired this, even setting to noindex makes no difference, it still appears on the sitemap at 80%.
Hi Phil,
No I didn’t get a fix for this. We just styled the shop page and had some work done so now we only display Featured Products that we wish on the page. It’s more a landing page than a shop page now which we are happy about.

A tad annoying, as you said its an archive page so we should have more control 🙂 Pete

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Shipping Classes QuestionThanks for your reply Roy Ho,
That’s far more than I would like to pay for a new online shop we are creating.
I would hope there would be another less costly option to solve this issue.
Thanks all the same 🙂

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseHi Leejosepho
Yes your help was appreciated. I like to think I can turn my hand to most things however I know my limits and this was just not clicking with me.
I’ll look into this and try on a test site where if I break things it wont be a big deal.
All sorted thankfully *phew*.

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseHi leejosepho,
Thank you for your patience and advice. In the end it just got to the point I dare not try this so I ended up paying someone to do it for me.
After mentioning to a friend they knew a dev and he sorted it. We host with 1&1 and that was the challenge, not the site and moving it.
All sorted thankfully, just updating links and sorting before we go live.
Thanks again for all your help, it was appreciated 🙂

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseOk you say
select your pair of lines and make the /*toggle on/off* just above that pair into /*toggle on/off*/ to activate them, then later turn them back off and go to Dashboard > Settings > General and re-save what should be there. However,
Not understanding this…
/*toggle on/off* just above that pair into /*toggle on/off*/ to activate them,

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseOk, still not getting this, much to your frustration no doubt 🙂
Let me ask, isn’t it a case that we have a DB with all our new pages, theme etc…this the development site.
Can’t I just get the live site to point to ‘this’ DB?
Change the wp-config file and then go into this DB and change the URLs that mention the dev site? Then go into setting in WP admin and alter URL etc so this becomes the new live site?

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseHey again,
Ok looked elsewhere in the glory that is 1&1, in web-space explorer (not phpMyAdmin) I can ‘move’ or ‘copy’ root files from one directory to another.
I’m presuming this may be what you were advising. So if this is the case do I first go to Dashboard > Settings > General
Change the URL in my sub-directory site to my main domain (the live site)Then go to the webspace explorer and copy ‘everything’ over?
Please say it is this simple 🙂

In reply to: Advice on transferring subdomain to main URL pleaseHi leejosepho,
Thank you so far for your advice.
This is getting no less confusing. I can’t see anywhere in 1&1 where I could synchronize a db, there is just no mention of this, from what I can see!
More endless searching on Google and there seems endless suggestions on what to do.
Here: http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Moving_WordPress#When_Your_Domain_Name_or_URLs_Change
And the section, Moving Directories On Your Existing Server.
This makes no mention of synchronize a db.Is the above one of the many alternative ways of doing this?
The frustration is our new site is sat, ready on our sub domain and while I really need to get this sorted I am dreading this.
Regards, Pete

Hmmm, so it appears they have done something slightly different.
I can see what I would have to go into Dashboard > Settings > however it is the DB side of things.
You mentioned I may synchronize DB’s, sure they are both with the same hosting company however I can’t see how this is done. Very puzzling indeed.
