    Hi Josh,
    Thanks for your reply. You just beat me to it as I think I have solved the problems I had.

    Welcome page: Initially putting [meteor_slideshow slideshow=”myshow”] into the page HTML didnt seem to work so put the tag
    <?php if ( function_exists( ‘meteor_slideshow’ ) ) { meteor_slideshow(); } ?>
    into the page template:-

    This worked but anything else (text) I put into the page always ended up over the slideshow.

    Strangely (?) when I progressed to adding a second slideshow on another page (Scroll Slides) I found that I didnt need the php tag in the page template any more and that I could control text top and bottom of the slideshow.

    As for the problem of having space above and below the header in my edited Esplanade theme – I got rid of the borders and widened the header so I could control colour scheme – I eventually found that by checking ‘Show header text’ in the custom header page, the spaces dissapeared.

    My development site is on line at:-

    You will see that I am just learning WPress. I also programme asp.net sites using Vis Studio (VB Script) and MySql databases.

    I havent got too far with W Press yet but feel free to look at my test site. Constructive comments are most welcome !!

    Oh, and I love your plugin – brilliant!!. Wish I could drop it into .aspx pages like one I did in this site:- http://www.kentaylorphotographer.com/
