Did you save change before changing back to theme and activating all plugins?
It might be your internet? My internet is really slow. Kept getting connection interruption just by uploading a 7mb theme.

Then i tried saving and it worked.
Try that and let me know! I want to know if my solution actually worked or if it was just pure luck 🙂
