In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] issue with Google PageSpeed testHa, I am SURE that my tutorials have MANY inaccuracies, hahaha. But in the situation you mention, I found one site that kept getting stuck on the 45th image. Tried several times, so I used that button and then it worked.
Camtasia 2 for Mac. Super easy to edit with after recording, although it has some quirks that are a bit annoying. I edit with real apps as well, so kinda fun to play with it because its like playing with legos or something… simple stupid.

The PageSpeed test shows a mix of images in the WP media library as well as some theme elements. Already ran your plugin for the library as well as ‘Optimize Everything Else’.
One random image that is listed in the Page Speed test:

Just confirmed that this was overwritten on the server when I did the optimization. But it’s still listed as needing ‘Losslessly compressing’ according to Google.
Really appreciate the detective work on this. Hopefully we can solve it together! Always good to improve things for the the benefit of the community. 🙂

According to this document:
https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/LeverageBrowserCachingMany of the settings that are available in W3 are contradictory, yet there is no warning in the plugin about this. I think a more helpful approach would be to have tooltips throughout, so that an explanation of these individual functions could be more readily available.

In reply to: [Secure Invites] spam/junk mail issuesThinking that a solution to this problem (which seems to be pretty pervasive as only about HALF of the people I invite ever see the emails) could be an invite code.
So a person that wants to invite a friend sends out their own invitation code to friends which has to be entered when someone signs up.
