I took a look at your site logs [https://wordpress.com/site-logs] but wasn’t able to pinpoint a specific error tied to that plugin.
The best next step would be to report what you experienced directly to the plugin developers (QuadLayers) through their support forum here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/perfect-woocommerce-brands/ – and despite what you may have heard, WordPress.com users absolutely can use that forum to report issues.
Since it’s a third-party plugin, they’ll have the best insight into what went wrong and whether it’s safe to update again.
And if there’s anything else we can help with, just let us know – happy to assist!
PS. I have also noticed that on the WordPress dashboard I now have two “Brands” under the “Products” heading one is complete as it was filled out. And the other is blank.
