In reply to: images are uploaded fine but don't show up when requestedIt should have nothing to do with media library in wordpress multisite, so it should work well. I suggest you do these steps:
– Do you make sure you clear all of cache if any?
– Check the step by step make multistie by follow this video: http://magentoexpertforum.com/showthread.php/10100-WordPress-3-MultiSite-Setup-Amazing-functionality
– Try deactivate all plugins and see if media work or not.
