Because I have my home page set as a static page, it seems to me that whatever text I put in the WordPress Site Title will ALWAYS appear in the SEO title on Google searches (no choice). Although I can try and edit the Yoast SEO title using the “Edit snippet” function, it seems that this still does not stop/override whatever wording has been used in the Site Title from appearing in Google searches. Is that correct or should the Edit snippet function be able to override everything?
Many thanks Jerparx, I’m very grateful to you. You are quite right that I am using a static page as my home page so I’ve set my SEO title to “Romantic Piano | Wedding Pianist”. Now that I’ve done this, shall I just delete everything in the Yoast SEO title box and leave that blank?
