I figured it out.
I didn’t know what tag the tag <ol> was. Now I know it is for ordered lists and there were sets of these tags between each footnote for some reason. I simply removed this section between all the footnotes at the bottom of the HTML in my post and it renders correctly now.

Has anyone else had experience with iA Writer inserting this extra seciton of code on exporting to WordPress? It has done it on two separate posts of mine now. I am still unsure if the problem resides in iA Writer or WordPress, as the markdown renders fine in iA Writer’s preview and Marked 2’s preview.
