Thanks for the suggestion, Jose. I tried switching the theme to Twenty Sixteen and deactivating all plugins, but no change. The dashboard is still glitched. I still can’t type new posts or edit pages or respond to comments. Basically, I have a non-functioning website. I’m at a loss. I have no idea what else to do. Please, if anybody can help…
Update: Apparently, the cursor is in the text box, but it is invisible, as is the text that I type. But if I type a new post, even though I can’t see it on the dashboard, it will appear on my site if I publish it. This is still a major problem, because I’m typing blind and also have no buttons to add images or any other media, but maybe it will help in figuring out a solution?
Sorry, I’m completely new to all of this. Where will I find these files and directories? I only ever accessed WordPress through the dashboard that appeared after I did an auto-install through my web host. I don’t know how to find or access these folders and files.
