After talking with support, have a look at this link, maybe it will solve your problem as it did mine:
I have a similar problem on a brand new installation of wordpress and mailpoet.
Everything works fine on my existing sites, but I can’t get it to work on this new installation.
I’ve reinstalled mailpoet, and even reinstalled wordpress entirely. Tried different themes.
When I try to change the name of the form, the text changes to “Saving…” and then never changes to anything else. If I then click the save button, that change isn’t saved anyway, it’s still called “New Form”.
I also can’t change the text of the subscribe button.
I haven’t tried doing anything else on this form, but it’s a strange one!
Looks like this wasn’t an issue with WP to Twitter. Only noticed it due to checking the tags when I changed the alphanumeric stripping setting.
I had a tag “$FREE” and at some stage a tag “FREE” was added. From then on, all new tags entered as “$FREE” saved as “FREE”.
Not sure what I can do about that in the future, but it’s not a WP to Twitter issue anyway.
Thanks for looking into this, Joe, and sorry for any time wasted.
I did turn that setting on at the same time I turned the strip non-alphanumeric characters setting off, but the slug I was particularly looking at was quite different from the full name of the tag anyway (well… quite different for a slug).
The setting seems to strip the characters from my posts themselves, not just when being sent over to twitter, is this the intended behaviour? I would have left the box checked if it left the characters alone on my site! 🙂
Thanks in advance for any help.
