ISSUE RESOLUTION
I figured it out!
To accomplish my animated intro, I discovered that there is currently a custom image size threshold of 20 pts for site interactivity after the the animation loads. I compensated for this by increasing the size of the custom image. Check it out! I think it looks awesome and it fits my theme well.

You may want to try deleting the plugin and installing it fresh. You may also want to consider changing your WordPress theme.
