In reply to: Footer – sizing & centre text across page…Ta, its the bit just after the “featured tours” area – there is white space that stretches across the end; where the footer is.
IN the screenshot, there is a large white space on either side where the footer text is… (footer should have orange background on either side….)

In reply to: Page contect areas & footers messing up alignmentThanks, its from a custom theme.
Yes, have the backup from previously but have had made changes to the content detail.
Is it possible to just re-upload the main page; im assuming the relevant pages for the main page – guessing the footer.php and layout.css pages rather than the whole site? Im confused though because some of the other pages have content areas that are longer… but the footers are still wrong…

All,
I resolved this by – renaming database, deleting all wp files in cpanel; then uploading new version of wp and then content specific to my site.
Thanks for the support.
Folks,
Have reinstalled latest copy of wp and have updated wp-config to ensure correct links to dbase. Now getting:
Error establishing a database connection in Firefox. In IE, its showing the following on main page:

The default-filters code:
In the script on line 17 (where error is) it has add_filter – I dont see any file on backup for this??
Also, when I try to open wp-content functions.php I get unresponsive script errors and then it opens. Not sure if I have correct php file:
Im just trying any final ways before restoring from scratch…
Good morning,
Christian: Ive copied the two files you bolded above to give the detail…
I cannot access admin panel so not sure which theme is active. Looking at the folders; maybe thats where the problem is – in the functions.php it is looking for the twentyten theme, but I think I upgraded to twentythirteen…. not sure; just guessing.

and

Tks
Christian; the functions.php file is the original one (before I made the error in parse code) – ive now uploaded it as per Tara’s guidance.
Will follow up on other instructions & try again tomorrow morning.
thanks for everyones help.
sorry the functions.php file;
Thanks Tara, have reinstated the original php into that directory – it still contained the file with the parse error..
