In reply to: Verifications, please: How long does it take to load my page?Ok, I think I solved the problem now. There were colliding CSS files among other things.
Sheesh… I envy you left-brained people! It would be nice to possess a higher capacity for logical thinking. 😉
Thank you for all of your help. (Sincerely!)
HUGz to everyone.

In reply to: Verifications, please: How long does it take to load my page?gestroud… that is exactly the problem that some of my regular readers have had!
Yet BigDog and samboll didn’t seem to have any difficulty whatsoever.
This is so weird. 🙁
Which browser is everyone using? I am completely stumped as to how to resolve this.
(Thanks to everyone so far!)

In reply to: Samsarin PHP Widget v0.2Sidebar Modules by Nybble Labs breaks with WP 2.2 as well, which totally irks me. It’s the only sidebar plugin that allows you to select what widget appears on each individual page, and I relied on that heavily.
I’ve de-activated the built-in WordPress Widget feature with *another* widget, reinstalled Side Bar Modules, and it’s working for now.
Also, my site is now slower than molasses rolling uphill in the winter.
!@#$%. >:(

In reply to: Theme Editor doesn’t work in 2.1Ok, issue resolved. For anyone else struggling with the same problem, try de-activating ALL of your plugins… close your browser… open it again… and re-activating all of the plugins you normally use.
I went through them one at a time, check for editor functionality after each activation. I was never able to pinpoint the troublesome one, but for some reason it works just fine now.
I despise upgrades. *eyeroll* 😛

In reply to: Custom Hemingway CSS-esMe again. BTW, I *have* altered the CSS so the theme will post the entries vertically. (I followed someone else’s directions in the Hemingway forum for that.)

In reply to: Custom Hemingway CSS-esHi. I’m having a CSS issue with Hemingway. (I’m using the latest version where you can choose between the original dark version, and a white one.) Ok… my problem: I can’t get rid of those goofy gray bands on the sides of the content area! I’ve tried everything I can think of (and have already consulted the Hemingway forum) but I still can’t figure it out. Here’s my website: http://www.infinitepink.com
Any suggestions? I’d really appreciate all help offered.

In reply to: Mallow and Mac/Safari browser problemsWell, thanks Jinsan.
I realized after I posted in “Miscellaneous” that it didn’t get nearly as much traffic as this particular section does, so I posted my question here as well. I’m terribly sorry to have committed such an egregious offense — all I wanted was some help.

In reply to: My siteI love the color combinations… wow! Very nice. I also like that quirky font you used for the title. At first I thought it was the “mandingo” font, but then realized it’s not — what’s it called?
