First of all, sorry for reading this late.
To work with this plugin you have to create the splashes screens on your own taking into the account the sizes given. Then you upload them to WP, select the image and save! Simple as that.
This plugin sets the meta information at the head of the page for the iOS devices, you don’t have to worry about that 🙂
