I am having similar issues with version 5.3.2. The tracking code thats injected on the site looks fine but it doesnt work. I tried authenticating with Google as well as manually adding the UA code, but no success.
I solved this temporarily by switching back to version 5.2.8. Thanks for the link to the old versions. I knew that’s a fix because version 5.2.8 was installed an working on another website that I run.
Please inform this thread if the issue is fixed. I like to have up to date software 😉
Look in the upper left corner. There is a tab called “Analytics”. Within this tab choose the “Default” tab. Simply connect your Google Account and then choose the property from the dropdown list that appears.
Or check the “Enter UA manually” box. This will show a textfield where you can put the UA code.
It is not necessary to copy any javascript code! This is done by the plugin.
