Hey, you’re right about the Vertical setting option, it now displays!

That will definitely do the trick for now, thanks so much!

As for my settings (at the time that it would not display):

    Plugin Status – checked
    Original Language – English
    Translation Language – All
    Display option – Horizontal
    Show Google Toolbar – No
    Show Branding – Yes

Really appreciate your time on this and I hope you can find a fix.

    Cheers!

    Hi Rob,

I tried the update (v1.7) but unfortunately no luck yet.

The shortcode function must be working because I can see the Script Code it writes when I view Page Source in the Browser.

Thanks for your reply, I hope my feedback helpful.

    Cheers!
    Frank.

    The problem is still happening.

I removed the widget and re-added all the images and links. It worked fine until I changed the order of the images, then I lost all the links again.

Does the same thing if you add a new image to an existing Rotator, will work fine when you first set it up and enter your images and links. If you edit the widget by resorting or adding any new images, the links will break.

Here’s the site I have it running on now – http://www.oakvillethunder.ca/

This is a great Plugin, I hope you can trouble shoot this issue, I want to keep using this!

I’ve been using the free CloudFlare service for a few months now, it did speed things up as far as page load time and it definitely helped with server requests.

Also, I did activate the CloudFlare feature in W3 Total Cache as well. I’ve had decent success with it after a bit of tinkering and can say that I have made a marked improvement on page load time for this site here: kimoverholt.com.

I discovered the biggest factor in slowing the page load is the affiliate ads as well as any of the scripts that need to load.

There’s still more I can do but I’m learning as I go with respect to the pluggins capabilities.

Check out this video: Use W3 Total Cache to Speed Up Your WordPress Site

    Hope it helps!

I’ve tries three times now uploading a fresh copy to no avail… no matter what I do I can’t access the admin area any longer!

What a f@#k*@g train wreck, unbelievable…!!!! I can’t be the only one having this going on, someone throw me a frickin’ bone here, need the info!

I’ve advised the site owner to move to their own server in the past, i.e. GoDaddy or or someone similar because their servers and hosting is usually up to date.

The hosting provider their on now has been around a while but their more of a small local provider. I doubt they have the kind of dollars the big boys have to spend on cutting edge servers and redundancies…. it’s the standard deal.

When the internet was a new thing these small data centers where cleaning house, but now you have the “GoDaddys” of the world offering way more on better, faster servers for less money. This client has been there for years… but it’s time to move.

ok, I just had a look at the info from your links and I’ve gotta say, that’s exactly why I wanted this wordpress crap to work, so I don’t have to deal with strings of code and edit php files…..

I really appreciate the help but I’m thinking this is not the solution for me or my client…. sounds great on paper, but in the real world it’s gotta stand on it’s own two feet or it’s worthless to anyone who need to rely on it working.

I’ve got some thinking to do…indeed.

There are only what ever the default plugins came with the theme. I’ve only changed the look, (images).

Now I can’t fix it like I did last time, either I loose the whole Blog or just the admin access…… there has to be a reason. I haven’t touched the site in over a week…. it just goes for a s@$t when ever it feels like it.

You would think if was related to an FTP problem that it would blow up right away…. not a week and a half later…right?!

I’m thinking maybe it’s some kind of server maintenance running, or just something to do with the hosting server…..

thanks for the links, I’ll check them out…. after I have a couple of stiff ones…!

Two weeks later and the problem is back….!!!!!!

I can’t access the admin, getting this again:

Warning: main(.//wp-includes/classes.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ./wp-load.php on line 46

I know how to fix it but come on!!!!

It seems a little f@#k%d up to me that I’m gonna have to babysit this WP install, can anyone give me any insight into this bizarre phenomenon…. I mean really, what the hell???????

    (@pizzaman66)

Yes I’m on a Linux server with GD….

I have one WordPress install on my GoDaddy account and I never have a problem with it.

I’m going to be setting up a few more soon (for some of my other domains), and I don’t anticipate any problems… I hope!

I’ve looked around and most of the top providers seem to be in the same price range when you compare theme side by side. Although the cPanel seems nice compared to the GD setup.

    Any opinions?

Problem is back, yes that’s right it’s back…. I’ve asked the client if they’re willing to move the site hosting to my GoDaddy account or setup their own.

Any suggestions on Hosting Providers, other than GoDaddy?

Any better deals out there or are they all about the same now?

Would love some feedback on this…

    Thanks!

Downloaded a new copy of the latest version, re-ftp new files, copied my wp-config.php file…. boom baby!

    Can access admin area now.

Thought I’d have to run the installer again, but didn’t.

    RESOLVED.

Pretty sure it’s on a Linux box.

    no .htaccess in the root

I don’t know where the .htaccess file is for wp..?

I’m thinking I should move this train wreck to my GoDaddy hosting plan.
