In reply to: How can I make my web page fill the whole screen? In trying to solve this myself I deleted my child theme to start from scratch once again but see that I can’t get rid of the TwentyEleven changes I’d started.
So now the ‘Search’, ‘Recent Posts’ and ‘Powered by WordPress’ sections that I’d removed have returned. Just passing this on for info, for whoever can help me!

In reply to: How can I make my web page fill the whole screen?Hello. I’m still trying to solve this problem. In the meanwhile I added a background to my website front page so that it wasn’t floating in a big sea of empty white. Is there anyone who could help me make the page fill the screen? Thank you.

In reply to: How can I make my web page fill the whole screen?Sorry, I am a complete novice and nothing I’ve tried (including copying over the structure code from twentyeleven into the child theme) seems to make a difference.
Is there anything you could suggest typing into the child theme style.css that would make the page fill the screen (as the usual twentyeleven page).
Many thanks.

In reply to: How can I make my web page fill the whole screen? Thanks for replying. I had transferred changes to my child theme I think. Afraid I don’t understand what you mean by the browse inspector tool. Is there a code I can put into my child theme style.css which would make the site fill the page?
