I finally took the time to resolve my issue with the 2.3.4 version of the plugin.

When using the “File storage” secure location option, the plugin looks for a directory named “jobs-dir” at one level above the root of the website directory and if it doesn’t exist, it tries to create it. I just ended up creating the jobs-dir folder manually (one level up from the root of the website), changed the owner and group of the jobs-dir to the user that runs the web server (in my case, nginx), and changed the permissions on the jobs-dir folder to 744.

After doing the above, the attachments were being saved and were also included in the email notifications again.

Unfortunately with the “file storage” option selected the attachment didn’t even get uploaded to the server. I ended up reverting back to the 2.2.9 version of the plugin in the meantime and am now getting attachments in the email notification again.

I’m having the same issue with file type restrictions. When the file browser opens up, it defaults to only show the custom file types I’m permitting; however, if I change the drop down to show “all files” I’m able to select and upload any file type.
