@jeherve, thanks for the helpful reply! Much appreciated.
Thought you’d like further evidence to support your conjecture regarding SiteGround. All of my sites are on SiteGround, and SiteGround updated them to WP4.7.5 on 18 May 2017…the day the Email notifications ceased.
In some small way, I hope this information helps you…and all the fabulous folks working on WordPress.
To the fabulous WordPress DEV Team:
CRITICAL PROBLEM: WordPress v4.7.5 appears to have broken the “Add Contact Form” function embedded in Pages.
To my horror, I just discovered that all “Feedback” comments submitted to my sites after updating to v4.7.5 have NOT been emailed to my provisioned Email Notifications.
Feedback comments posted by visitors prior to 18 May 2017 (the date v4.7.5 was autoupdated on my sites) were Emailed just fine. Although there were no changes on my part, Feedback comments posted after the v4.7.5 are languishing in the Feedback tab BUT NOT BEING EMAILED!
Team WordPress: Please accept my thanks (and the thanks of many, many users that rely on your fabulous system) in advance for escalating this serious bug and resolving it as quickly as possible.
With appreciation,

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] How Set Display URL to 'www.adomainname.com'?@ron,
Thanks for the reply; regrets, I still don’t get the idea of PRIMARY and NOT PRIMARY.
Perhaps you’d be so kind as to review and critique the timeline below…let me know where I mis-understood…then let me know what to do? Your assistance would be appreciated.
Assume a WP Multisite instance whose “Main” domain is at: http://www.maindomain.com
Assume the Domain Registrar DNS File for ‘fifthtest.com’ includes an A Host (‘@’) record that resolves to the IP address for maindomain.com.
*Also, assume wildcard sub-domains for maindomain.com have been enabled. *.maindomain.com resolves to maindomain.com.
Assume the DNS File for fifthtest.com includes a CNAME for ‘www’ that resolves to ‘@’.
Assume you’re on a Mac with OS X 10.8, using Safari, and you login to maindomain’s WP Multisite (WP-MU) instance.
Then, in WP-MU, use Network Admin→ Sites→ Add [a] New [Site]
In Add New:
Enter ‘fifthtest’ in Site Address (which appears to resolve to fifthtest.maindomain.com)
Enter “This is Fifth WP-MS Test Site” in Site Title
Enter [email protected] for Admin Email
Click on WP-MU Add Site button
Note the ID in Safari’s Address Bar URL = 5Navigate to WP-MU Network Admin→Setting→Domains
Set Site ID to 5
Set Domain to ‘fifthtest.com’
Set Primary to ON
Click on SaveNavigate to WP-MU Network Admin→Sites
Locate Domain ‘fifthtest.maindomain.com’
Highlight fifthtest.maindomain.com
Click on fifthtest.maindomain.com ‘s Dashboard…verify the site was created
Click on WP-MU View Site…wait 90 seconds…wonder why nothing is displayed
After nearly 3 minutes…marvel in surprise when fifthtest.com’s home page is displayed
(Then, despair at the response time)Run same test as above on fresh Chrome instance
Note that Chrome FAILS to display fifthtest.com with the diagnostic message:
“The webpage at http://www.fifthtest.com/ has resulted in too many redirects.”
Wonder why.
Stare at WP-MU Admin panels for 15 minutes.
Google ~20 variations of “How to configure WordPress MU Domain Mapping”
In despair, DRAFT this postNavigate to WP-MU Network Admin→Setting→Domains
Set Site ID to 5
Set Domain to http://www.fifthtest.com
Set Primary to OFF
Click on SaveNavigate to Network Admin→Sites
Locate Domain ‘fifthtest.maindomain.com’
Highlight fifthtest.maindomain.com
Click on fifthtest.maindomain.com ‘s Dashboard…again, verify the site has been created
Click on View Site…wait…wait some more…observe nothing happensRevisit DRAFT of this post

Post this Plea for assistance@ron, If there is a source for detailed WP MU documentation (more explanatory than wordpress.com)…please let me know…I’d gleefully access it and read it in depth.
Thank you very much from a thoroughly confused supplicant.

In reply to: [WordPress MU Domain Mapping] How Set Display URL to 'www.adomainname.com'?@ron,
Thanks for the reply.
With respect to your response, would you please clarify:
What is meant by the
“…original URL?”
And, the
“…domain map?”
Could you post an example which illustrates what they are and how they should be set?
Thanks!
PS: Here’s a link to Amazon’s AWS “Marketplace,” which is where items such as Bitnami AMI’s can be located, then provisioned in AWS: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B007OXRX74/ref=portal_asin_url
Hope this helps!

In reply to: Unable to Expand Mac OS X 10.8 WP Installation Download 3.4.2*&&^^%$##$%^ Kaspersky for Mac!
Regrets to all on this forum…I just figured it out: &&^^%$&*(*# Kaspersky for Mac was preventing Apple Archive (and WinZip) from expanding the .zip (and, I also tried the .tar).
To Anyone Else Having this Problem: On a whim, I disabled and removed Kasperksy for Mac and…(you’ll be shocked! Shocked I tell you!) wordpress-3.4.2.zip — (wait for it…) unzipped perfectly. I now have a shiny, new–AND WORKING–MAMP Pro-based instance of WordPress 3.4.2 running on my iMac with 10.8.2.
Hope this very unpleasant experience is helpful for others.

In reply to: Unable to Expand Mac OS X 10.8 WP Installation Download 3.4.2Should have mentioned…before posting request, above:
-
Six downloads.
Two computers.
Two internet connections (1 Verizon Hotspot; the other Comcast High-Speed Internet).
WinZip and Apple Archive. All…FAILwith the same diagnostics as expressed in original post.
Has any Mac user (OS X 10.8.2) been able to successfully download and expand ‘wordpress-3.4.2.zip’?

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] CF7 Radio Buttons a MessTakayukister,
You rock and you roll!
Thank you for the great…and incredibly timely…response.
CF7 is one of my favorites…I’m glad I’ve contributed and hope every user does as well. Your plug-in is fabulous…every WP site needs it.
Thanks again,

In reply to: How Upload Images into Posts or Pages? Please be assured I read, and carefully followed, http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/164999?replies=1
before wasting anyone’s time with my post, I cleared cache many times, triply downloaded latest Flash, etc., etc. I spent at least four hours, trolling thru posts here, there and everywhere before resorting to my post above.
I did ask my ISP if they could do anything. They changed a security setting on some of my WP directory structures (they won’t tell me from what to what becuase they say WP has HUGE security holes). Since their change, I can upload relatively small .JPG files (e.g., 17Kb to 301Kb).
From everything I’ve read–and the ENORMOUS number of posts on this topic that I’ve found–it appears that there is a serious flaw in this–absolutely vital–feature of WordPress.
Being so new here…how can I request developer attention to such a critical and apparently wide-spread bug?
Thanks!
