Hi
I had the same problem that a user with the Amelia Manager role could not create a new appointment in the backend calendar. This error message appeared in the PHP error log:
POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/appointments&wpAmeliaNonce=4c8b6c1ba4 HTTP/1.0
This solved the problem:
I then deleted the user and created a new one and this time did not link to the provider (provider details in the settings). I left the wordpress user field empty.That helped.

Same error here too.
Workaround:
I reset to the old version 5.2.3 and clicked on Save under WP Settings>Permalinks. In addition, I published again in the Customizer.This solved the problem for me in the short term.
