Bingo!
I had not selected the Front Page template, that’s why it didn’t work. The image now fits window’s width.
Still testing this beautiful theme, but as soon as I set up all the features, I’m going live with it.

Unfortunately I’m not using the theme so far due to this issue, so you won’t be able to check it online. Even tried deactivating all plugins, thought it could be some kind of conflict, but no success.
The weird thing is that I set up a background in “Customize > Background Image” and it shows up, but still doesn’t fit the window.
And when I try setting up the background through “Customize > Theme” on each subsection (Title, News, Page) as you indicate in your screenshot, nothing changes. Not even when I try to hide sections in “Visibility”. It seems all those settings under “Customize > Theme” are not working.
So now I was thinking about “assigning front-page template” as you mentioned, maybe there’s the problem as those settings don’t work. Could you please tell me how to do it or upload a screenshot?
