Just update ‘titles & metas’ in the plugin settings.
I have changed %%category%% to %%term_title%% and that solved the problem.

The issue continues to persist.
Got plugin version 1.5.3.2 and the problem still persist on my end.
I have the same problem on Classipress theme.

www(dot)market.cheap-phones.com/ad-category/cell-phones/All: wordpress, theme and plugin are up to date.
excluded sitemap from w3tc – didn’t help
deactivated w3tc – helped

Thanks Mailworm! That worked for me.
Just wanted to add that Google was able to successfully process the sitemap on Jan 25th (according to Webmaster). Hope you find this helpful with searching for solution.
