I got my answer through the Monoslideshow Forum:
Go to: WP-CONTENT > PLUGINS > NEXTEGEN-MONOSLIDESHOW > PRESETS
Create a preset file. Customize it to your heart’s desire.
Then put this in your post or page:
[monoslideshow id=1 preset=’YOUR_PRESET_FILE_NAME’]
Without the file extension.
Works perfectly.
