Thanks Jeff. After much investigation I worked out that this is a common problem with all plugins since the latest WordPress update. It was not just your plugin that wasn’t sending emails it was any plugin that automatically generates emails. There is some problem with the WordPress PHP Mail in the new version. The solution I found was to setup a mailgun account (www.mailgun.com) and install the Mailgun for WP plugin. This has everything working again. It’s a bit of mucking around but it works. For anyone else who wants to try this solution, the WP Beginner website has a great 5 minute instructional video that is pretty easy to follow.
